With less than three weeks to go until the opening round of this year's BSB series, Team Twister is delighted to announce that it has joined forces with a major sponsor - Applied Sweepers - for Tim's debut season in the British 125GP Championship Cup.
Based in Tim's home town of Falkirk, Applied Sweepers are manufacturers of the innovative "Green Machine" range of outdoor sweeper machines that are now a familiar sight in many of the UK's towns and cities.
While the versatile sweepers are normally seen at relatively sedate speeds, the company's highly distinctive colour scheme can now be found on a somewhat faster green machine in the shape of the Banks Racing 125cc Honda that Tim will be riding for the 13 rounds of the 2007 season.
Managing Director Gordon Fleming was on hand to see the newly prepared bike unveiled at Applied Sweepers' headquarters, and he was clearly looking forward to working with the Falkirk teenager.
"Applied Sweepers is delighted to be associated with such a promising young local talent as Tim and looks forward to helping Tim and his GREEN MACHINE power their way to many successes in the future."
Team Twister is most grateful for the financial backing provided by Applied Sweepers and for their ongoing assistance in what will undoubtedly be a crucial development year for fourteen year old Tim.
It is hoped that the partnership can be extended into 2008 and beyond, but their initial support has already allowed the team to take part in a highly successful test in Spain, and sees Tim approach the first race of the season - at Brands Hatch on Easter Monday - in the best possible form.
With some sponsor space still available on Tim's bike, any potential backer who might wish to associate themselves with the joint Team Twister/Green Machine venture can find more details on our sponsor page or can contact us directly on team@twister50.fsnet.co.uk
