With final testing completed and the first round of the new season only days away, Team Twister has received a further financial boost for its 2007 campaign.
Former racer John MacDonald and legal firm Digby Brown have teamed up and provided a significant sponsorship package that will assist Tim Hastings and fellow Scottish racer Robbie Stewart throughout this year and possibly beyond.
After an exceptional racing career which saw him win multiple Scottish Sports Production Championships, MacDonald now runs the rider development courses for Pro-Scot Ltd and had been looking to put something back into the sport. He then persuaded Digby Brown - one of Scotland's leading personal injury practices - to join him in supporting the two Scottish youngsters, both of whom he believes are great prospects for the future.
MacDonald, also director at Pro-Scot Ltd, told Team Twister that he was excited about the prospect of helping influence Tim's future career.
Digby Brown has been involved in sponsoring motorcycle racing in Scotland for a number of years - mainly in classics & sidecars - but this will be their first venture into the high profile BSB Championship series. The firm - which specialises in motorcycle accident claims - will not only help Tim and Robbie in the 125GP Championship Cup, but also hopes to benefit from the increased exposure that their association with racing at a national level will undoubtedly bring.
Tim can be seen on track at Round One of the BSB Series at Brands Hatch on Easter Monday, the 9th of April.
