MWR Kawasaki have reversed their decision to take a year out of racing in 2012 and will field Tim Hastings in the Metzeler National Superstock 600 championship.

Scotsman Hastings rode for the team for the final two meetings of last year before team boss Mark Webster decided to have a year-long sabbatical from the sport due to increasing work commitments. He has to come back and may also run a second rider in the same class or in the litre bike series.

"After a winter of uncertainty and not not knowing if I’d even be racing at all in 2012 , I am really pleased to have reached a deal with Mark and the MWR team. When I raced for them at the last two rounds of 2011, It just felt like I belonged in the team," said Hastings.

"So doing a full season with them is mega. Results can never be guaranteed but one thing is certain, I will be giving it my all at every round."
