Tim's Report

Tim's Report - Mallory - 27th, 28th & 29th June

In FP1 I was fast straight away as I had been to a track day with the team 10 days earlier. About mid-session I was in P1 then came into the pits and tried a slightly harder rear tyre, it didn't work as well as I thought it might have, even though I went faster than before we fitted it. I still ended the session in 6th with a faster lap time than I did during the 2007 meeting.

FP2 was wet and was a bit of a nonsense session, as the rest of the weekend, (for us), was forecast dry. I just went round to get a feel for the wet and because I enjoy riding, no matter what the weather. I ended the session in 13th but I knew if we had a wet qualifying, I could go faster. It was still an overall good session and I was happy with it.

Qualifying 1 was dry and I improved my lap time again but was in 6th place only 0.6 off of pole. I struggled to go fast as there was a lot of traffic but the bike felt good and I was confident I could go faster in Qualifying 2. I went out at the front and pushed hard right away, before long my pit board was showing P2, I was struggling to find clear track and with only six minutes of our session remaining, I drove through pit lane, hoping to re-join the circuit with some clear track. I was P8 with time for only one last lap and decided to do what Dan Cooper told me and "just hang it out". I felt like I was right on my limit but kept the lap going and was really happy to finish P4 and on the front row, just 0.3 seconds off pole!

Sunday was going to be busy, with a warm-up plus two 22 lap races! In the warm-up session I glazed a set of new front brake pads and couldn't brake as I needed to and as a result I was only 9th fastest. The guys changed my front disc and pads, ready for the race.

For race 1, I was sixth on the grid, but it was the race that got cancelled at Donington. I got a good start and was up into 2nd in turn one. I was able to hold my own in 2nd but by mid distance, I started to get a dead leg and was struggling with my gear changes. I was getting a dead leg as my suit was too tight around my knee. I then started to drop down the order. I was holding 6th ok, but first Jay Lewis and then Luke Hinton crashed and I gained two places and finished in 4th, (2nd Cup).

For race 2 I was 4th on the grid and got and average start, I stayed 4th into the first corner and managed to pass for 3rd after a few laps and then quickly caught and passed Lee Costello for 2nd. By then, my team mate, Martin Glossop, had cleared off into the distance!

I was pulling away from the chasing pack but then got caught behind a backmarker and that allowed 3rd to close up to me. This then put pressure on me for the rest of the race. I managed to hold onto 2nd until the last lap before I was passed into the new chicane, I got better drive out and was able to pass back, on the brakes into Edwina's. I left my braking so late, I thought I was going straight on, Jay was also late on the brakes but I managed to make the apex and got through. I held my line into the hairpin and was expecting Jay to try a pass but when I got through the Bus Stop still in 2nd, I knew I just had to keep it pinned to the line! My best finish overall and in the Cup, (1st).

Thanks to all at KRP for a fantastic bike and to my sponsors for helping me get this far. Thanks also to Candice and her friend for being my grid girls, I know Fred Clarke was well impressed with you both!

Tim's Report - Snetterton - 13th, 14th & 15th June

I really struggled at Snetterton in 2007, so I was just hoping to improve and get into the top five for our first practise session. I went a full two seconds faster in FP1 than my best 2007 time and was fastest overall!

In FP2 I improved my time by a further 0.6 of a second and ended the session in 2nd overall. The track felt much faster in FP2 probably because it was later on in the afternoon and warmer. My plan was to go out first to get away ahead of everyone to get clear track but I stalled the engine and ended up leaving the pits last, I still got lots of clear track though! I felt confident for qualifying as I hadn't been out of the top two in the practise sessions so far and was improving every time I went out.

Our first qualifying session was right after our second practise session so it was a busy day; usually qualifying is left until the following day.

This time I left the pits first, and after about five laps I started to catch slower riders. Next I saw Matty Hoyle just ahead, (Matty & I were fastest all weekend), I couldn't catch him, but he couldn't pull away either, so we must have been lapping at more or less the same times. I was in P2 but only 0.03 off pole! Matty must have got a signal from his pit crew and I really should have known better because Matty slowed and went in behind me, improving his time by 0.4 seconds.

Saturday was a long day as we only had one session and it was after 1pm. Q2 was warm and dry, the track felt fast right away with much better grip than on Friday. I went out near the front and got my head down early. I knew the times would improve and I wanted to be putting in fast times right away so I could respond in time. Once I was lapping quickly, I was having problems at Coram's; I lost the front a few times, nothing sudden, just gently and quite slowly, weird! I was able to hold it up on my knee, but it was scary as Coram's is a fast corner. I came into the pits and explained to Mark what was happening and he made some changes to the front suspension. That made the bike handle much better and I was able to improve my times. Matty and I were P1 & P2 and were the only two riders to get times in the 1.13's I was happy with that and looking forward to the race.

Sunday morning warm up gave me a surprise, after two gentle opening laps I went for a fast time, I went fastest in the first sector, then just before the end of the Revett straight, flat out in 6th gear my bike seized, high siding me at 133mph! Thankfully there wasn't too much damage to the bike and I had only skinned my thumb after my glove wore through so I was able to race later that day.

At Snetterton we do two warm up laps, so I pushed hard in both of them so that when the lights went out I was already focussed and up to speed. I pulled up on my grid slot and just focussed on the lights. I got a real good start, and went second, right behind Matty. On that first lap me and Matty had already pulled a gap on third place by the end of the Revett straight. Then, just on exiting Russells chicane, the bike cut out and I dropped back into the pack before it got going again and also allowed the leader to pull away.

The next seven laps were a struggle and I fought hard to stay in contention for a podium. On lap 8, the leaders' bike broke down which now meant I was battling for the lead. I started the last lap in the lead and I knew I could win it. My team mate was right behind me but I felt I was stronger than him in the second part of the lap which is where it was going to matter for the win. I got a good run onto the Revett straight, but again the bike cut out, and although I managed to finish the race in 5th place, I was gutted not to have got my first win!

Thanks to all the guys at Team KRP for working so hard all weekend, next up is Mallory so I'm hoping for a good result there.

Tim's Report - Donington Park - 24th, 25th & 26th May

We got back to Scotland on Thursday 22nd May, after attending my Grandfather's funeral in Cape Town, and I wrote my final exam on Friday 23rd May. My Dad collected me from school and we headed for Donington.

We were only out at 11:20 so I got to have a bit of a sleep in on Saturday morning. In FP1 I finished in 4th and improved my lap time from last year so I was happy with. Also, the wind was quite strong and prevented us from pushing too hard. In FP2, still with windy conditions, I was lapping comfortably and in P3 when I got black flagged for using too much of the pit lane exit as my racing line. I sat out the last 10 minutes of the session and finished in 7th.

Sunday was windy and dry; right up until the very start of our qualifying session! The team quickly changed wheels from slicks tyres to full wet tyres. The track was damp and greasy, instead of proper wet so for the first few laps I just took my time to see were the grip was. There wasn't a lot of grip at Schwantz curve, as I could slide the bike around there, cool! I then started to get my head down and put in a few quicker lap times.

I went from 16th straight up to 2nd but then I had a big moment around Schwantz curve when I thought I was going to crash. I was out the seat, feet of the pegs and thinking I was going down when the next thing I know, I'm back in the seat and on the grass. I made my way back onto the track and backed off, watching my pit board and I ended the session in 3rd.

Second qualifying was wetter but with about ten minutes remaining, the track started to dry really fast and the lap times just started to drop. My pit board was telling me I was losing places so I tried to respond, improving my Q1 lap time, before crashing out at Coppice on the very next lap. That was my qualifying over for the day and I was placed 7th on the grid.

On Monday morning the wind was really strong but also gusty. When we went out for warm up all of us in KRP had to run in. But going down Craner, as I turned into the left, the wind caught my front wheel and I thought I was going to crash. That was only my out lap! I ended the session in 3rd behind Jonas Folger and Martin Glossop.

Then we waited all day until about an hour and a half before my race, when they decided to cancel the race, as it was to dangerous in the strong winds.

I was disappointed not to get to race, but the right call was made, as the winds were making things dangerous.

Hopefully we'll have better weather at Snetterton.

Tim's Report - Brands Hatch - 10th & 11th May

We got to Brands on Saturday morning, after a 6.5 hour drive, and by 9am it was already hot. I was only due out at 12:40 so we had plenty of time to get set up.

When we went out for the first session it was really hot and the heat affected the track grip a lot which left me struggling to get a good rhythm going. I ended the session in 16th.

I told Mark what the bike was doing and he changed some settings and in FP2, the bike was handling much better. I ended the session 9th but almost 3seconds faster than FP1.

I also went 0.4seconds faster than I had qualified. It was strange going to the race meeting knowing where you have qualified. It was also strange as 5 weeks before, it was snowing at Brands but here we were now, with the temperature at 30 degrees!!

On Sunday morning in warm up I had to run a piston in, which just means I have to watch the revs by short shifting for 2laps. I was 5th fastest at the end of the session, happy with the way the bike was handling and I was confident going into the race as I was happy with the bike.

I got a good start to the race but into the first corner I was baulked so I dived up the inside and got baulked there too. Not too bad as I finished the first lap in the same position I started from, 8th. After a few laps I was comfortable, in 6th, but the bike was running rich on the jetting so it was cutting out as I changed into 6th gear. This allowed the riders behind to close me in I dropped back to 9th.

I started to work my way through the group again and I got a good run on Jay Lewis coming onto the straight and as I went to go past, my bike died again.

I was at the back of the pack again with only 3 laps to go so set about getting some places back. At the start of the last lap I was up to 4th and for most of the lap I went defensive until the last corner where I made the pass into 3rd. As I got back on the throttle the back end started to slide so I had to shut off and wait for the back wheel to get back inline before I could put the power on, this allowed Paul to get better drive and come back past me past me. I finished in 4th just 0.079 off the main podium. My best ever BSB GP125 finish and another ACU Academy Cup podium after a very close and enjoyable battle.

Hopefully I can go one better next time out, as I've got the bike and team capable of winning races.

Thanks to my sponsors and all the team for their efforts throughout the weekend.

Tim's Report - Oulton Park - 3rd, 4th & 5th May

The team and I got to Oulton on Thursday night and had to wait till Friday morning before we could get in to set up. After setting up we walked the track.

While we were walking the track Mark told us that the track wouldn't offer much grip so early in the morning and to be careful as he didn't want to see any of us bringing the bikes back in the recovery van.

I went to bed early as our first session was at nine o'clock. I went out and took my time to remind myself of the circuit layout. After a few laps I started to push harder and feel for the grip and like Mark said, there wasn't very much!

I ended up in 6th but I was happy with that as I didn't push my hardest due to the conditions. The second session had so much more grip now due to all the bikes that had been round and the temp getting hotter. I ended the second session in 2nd with a lap time of 1:49.2.

Next up was our first qualifying session. I was struggling with qualifying as every time on the exit of Lodge (the last corner) the bike would just wheelie, I came in and told Mark and he said it was maybe the way I was riding the corner so I tried it in 2nd gear and that was my problem sorted.

Toward the end of the session my pit board showed only six minutes remaining, I knew that would give me three more laps so I pushed real hard, setting the fastest first sector but then I caught a slower rider into the hairpin which ruined the lap. My last 2 laps the same kind of thing happened, I caught slower rider's right towards the end of the lap. As a result I was 8th on the grid one tenth of a second quicker would have put me on the front row!! I ended the qualifying session with a lap time of 1:49.164 and 2 seconds faster than my best time last year.

On Sunday we had second qualifying but it was raining so we knew no one would go faster. I was still in two minds whether I should go out or not. So I asked Mark what I should do and he said it's my call as the forecast for our race was for good weather, I decided not to go out.

I then went to go see Fred Clark (Circuit commentator) and Fred interviewed me.

Our warm-up session was on a damp track which was okay, as I had to run a piston in and ended the 10 minute session in 13th. Not long after warm up I started to feel ill so I went for a sleep felt a lot better after I and woke.

After a long wait it was finally time for my race. I got a good start but due to me making a few mistakes in the first few laps I had dropped down the field to 12th. Once I had calmed down I settled into a good pace and started to gain places. On lap seven I set the fastest lap time of the race. I could see two of my team mates ahead of me and focussed on catching them. I managed to catch and pass them within four laps and on the last lap I was with in passing range of the fifth placed rider but as I went to line him up my bike started miss-firing. All I wanted to do then was just finish and try to keep my position. Just before the start finish line, the same thing happened again and my team mate, Tom Hayward, just beat me across the line by 0.033 seconds.

I finished 7th overall (3rd in cup and fastest lap by a Cup rider), which is my best finish at this level and I had made it onto the Academy Cup podium.

22 October 07

We got to Brands at 7.30pm on Thursday night after a long 8 hour drive. I felt confident this weekend as I had been round the track last year on my Aprilia Superteen bike.

FP1 was late Friday morning, the track was wet, but with a dry race line. This meant everyone's lap times would be slower as you had to stay on the dry line, or risk crashing! I ended the session in 22nd with a lap time of 54.4 seconds, which was only 2.9 seconds off the fastest lap time. In FP2 the track was completely dry which meant every one really go for it.

My best lap time was 51.5 seconds and I knew I could find time in Clearways. I was being really careful in this corner as the last time I raced the Indy circuit, (Aprilia RS125), I high sided and spent time in the medical centre! I ended FP2 in 19th, only 1.6 seconds off of the fastest lap time which was close.

Q1 was late Saturday morning which meant I could have a lie in. Cool! When I got up and went outside, it was dry, which meant it was going to be a very fast session. I wanted to get down to a 50 second lap time by the end of the day, so I went out at the first, ahead of everyone and as the faster riders came past I tried to follow them as long as possible to learn the right lines and go faster. Kev Coghlan came past me on the start of lap 17 and I went with him for as long as I could. I got down to a lap time of 50.51 seconds which put me 13th and I was well chuffed with that as it was a good qualifying position and I achieved my goal of getting a 50 second lap time.

In Q2 I could only manage a time of 50.70 seconds. I couldn't get a faster lap time than in Q1, but I was lapping at 50 + seconds consistently, which I was happy with as I thought that would be a good race pace. At the end of qualifying I was 17th, which was a big improvement in my qualifying form!

I was happy with the way the day went, I got the lap time I was after and I felt confident of a good result. The bike felt really fast too, I was passing other riders quite easily, and I was only 1 second off of the pole.

Sunday morning warm up went well as I was 17th, with a lap time of 50.8 seconds and half a second faster would have moved me up 8 places. The whole weekend had been really close.

When I came to take my place on the grid for the race, I was surprised to see a model, Candice, with my umbrella. (Thanks Michael) I was like a proper GP racer!!

Then the team went off the grid and we were sent round for our 2 warm up laps. I got a really good start but as I went into Druids hairpin there was contact which sat me up and I dropped loads of places. I had made my way back up to 13th and was having a good battle for 12th when the safety car came out. We had only done a lap behind the safety car when it was red flagged.

This meant I would start from my race position which I was happy with but now I also had to get a good start again. My re-start was good, but this time I got baulked but didn't lose any places and I was in a group for 11th place. I held 12th place but on the last lap I was passed and ended the race 13th.

I am happy to have ended the year in the points again if I can just learn to be a little more aggressive at the start of the race; I think I can compete at the front of the field next year.

Thanks to Banks racing for giving me a fast and reliable bike the whole year. Thanks to all my sponsors Green Machines, Digby Brown, Pro Scot, Nevis Marketing and Arkose design.

3 October 07

We got to Donington on Thursday night, at about 8.30pm which meant we had to park outside the paddock for the night, as the cut off time to get into the paddock is 8 o'clock. This also meant that we had to go into town and get dinner as we had no power to cook where we were parked.

I couldn't wait till Friday to get out on track as I had played Donington so many times on the Playstation. When I woke up and looked outside it looked sunny and I hoped it would be like that all day so I could learn the track. FP1 was dry and I loved the track, my best lap time was a 1.49.9 and I was happy with that and so was the team. The time sheet showed that I was 4th through the speed trap which proved all the work and changes Pete has done to the bike are working.

The second session was wet and I wasn't sure if I should go out as the forecast was dry for the rest of the weekend, but I was told just to go out and do a few laps to get more laps round the track. So I just went out and ran around at a really easy speed, making sure I kept it up-right. I felt like going faster when a lot of people were passing me but I thought better of it in case I had a crash for no reason.

Saturday morning we were first out, QP1, and it was a damp track. I went out at the front of the pack and went fast straight away, I was looking to find what the track was like in these conditions and I had 5 warnings from the tyres so I knew not to try too hard at certain corners.

I had done about 4 laps and when I passed my pit bored, it said P5! I knew I would have to push if I wanted to stay there as all the faster riders would be waiting for the track to dry before they pushed a bit harder. About 10 minutes from the end of the session I was battling to stay in the top 20!

My second last lap had P21 - T1, which meant I had one lap left to try and improve, so I got my head down and on my last lap I did a 1.49.1 which put me in 9th. But there were other riders behind me, still on their last flying lap and once everyone had finished the session I had ended up 13th.

QP2 was dry so everyone went faster, a lot faster! I improved by nearly three seconds, (1.46.7), and that was only good enough for 30th.

Sunday warm up was okay I was working on the Melbourne Loop as I felt I was losing time there and at the end of warm up I was happier as I felt better at this part of the track.

I got an okay start for my standards but only made two places off the start. I was closing in on the group ahead of me quite quickly so I thought I would just get to the front and pull away. Instead I got to the front of the group and then they started to pass me back. I knew that I was going to be in a battle for the rest of the race from then onwards. I noticed I was the only one of my group that was using the pit exit going into the first corner and I was also braking later than the other riders there too, so I tried to take advantage of that and started the last lap leading my group. I pushed as hard as I could to try and make a gap on them so that they didn't get tempted to make a pass on me or slipstream me to the line but that didn't work and I was passed into the Melbourne Loop I was pushed wide which cost me two places and I finished 24th. Overall it was a good race and I really enjoyed it.

Thank you to all my sponsors Digby Brown, Pro Scot, Nevis marketing and Green Machines. I would also like to thank Banks Racing; Pete gave me a mega fast bike all weekend! I would also like to thank Ron Stevenson for taking me, my dad and Colin out for dinner! Lastly, thanks to Stuart Higgs for arranging a couple of laps round the track in the Audi RS4! Thanks a lot to everyone.

2 September 07

We arrived at Cadwell on Saturday morning at 06h30 and I was due out on track at 09h30, so it was a bit of a rush. I thought I would know the track as I had been there 2yrs ago on my Aprilia Superteen bike.

When I went out for FP1 the track just felt different as it was so much faster on the GP bike. The first time over the mountain was a bit scary. I wasn't quite sure what to do! Roll off the throttle, stand up and lean over the front, not a clue!! After a couple of laps it was fine and I was getting used to it.

In FP2 I needed to try and go faster which was hard as you need to know the right line to go fast as there is only one line round the track because it is so tight and twisty.

We had to get up early on Sunday morning as we were first out. I felt quicker right away, after a good night's sleep and knowing the track a bit better. My lap times improved and I was feeling more confident. In Q1 I got a tow from Tom Haywood and just from being behind for half a lap I was able to go a second faster than my previous best lap.

When I went past the start/finish line I thought I had seen the chequered flag and came in. When I got to parc-ferme' no-one was there! I realised then that they must just have been getting the flag ready, but not actually waved it yet! Doh! I missed about two laps and dropped from 27th to 33rd in that time.

I was able to sleep in on Monday as we were only out at 10h45 for warm up. I was lapping a second off my qualifying lap time in warm up and felt comfortable lapping at that pace so I was happy with warm up.

There was a long wait till my race so I watched the R6 cup race and my friend; David Paton won, leading the race from start to finish. Well done Deej.

Eventually it was time for my race and I was starting 33rd which was the 9th row. It was not where I wanted to start the race from but I got a good start and finished 19th. The last lap was mega, Ben Padgett tried to pass me in the Gooseneck, and when he came past I knew he was too hot, so I braked a little earlier so as to cut back on the inside and then knew I just had to leave no gaps on the run to the flag. The whole race was good; I set my best lap of the weekend on the last lap of the race and finished 14 places further up the leader board from where I had started.

I really need to sort my qualifying, to give myself a chance of scoring points in the main championship so I'm going to work hard on that when we get to Donington.

Thanks to Steve & Mark from Nevis, for sorting me out with a new lid after mine was wrecked in my off at Croft. Thanks also to Pete, Alan and Colin for all their work over the weekend and thanks also to Green Machines, Digby Brown and Pro-Scot.

It was good to see my team mate, Jamie Ferguson, back out on his bike after his crash at Knockhill.

18 August 07

Croft was going good, after FP1 I was in 19th, with a time of 1.33.6 but I new I could have gone faster and I was running in a new engine. In FP2 I knew I could go fast quickly as I had nothing to run in. With my fastest lap time of 1.31.760 I ended the session in 13th, one second quicker than my previous personal best. I was happy with that and the bike felt strong.

For Q1 I pushed quite hard from the start and on my third lap I had done a 1.32.722 and the pit board said I was in P7 so I pushed even harder to try and keep my self up the order. My fifth lap felt really quick and coming out the hairpin I could see the start/finish line so I got on the power too soon and ended up high siding. That was the end of my session and I ended up finishing 30th for Q1. I was taken to the medical centre because I had hurt my shoulder, the doctor thought I had broken my collar bone, so they x-rayed my shoulder and luckily it was fine, just bruised. I had to go back on the Saturday morning to get passed fit to ride.

That evening I cycled the track first with Alan Green and then with James Ford, who helped with a few lines I was struggling with.

On Saturday morning my dad and I went to the medical centre to see if I would pass fit to do Q2 and thankfully I passed. That meant we had to go get myself, and the bike scrutineered again, and then get ready for Q2. At the start of the session I just took a lap to see how my shoulder felt and it didn't seem to bother me too much, so I went for it. I improved my times and finished 31st with a time of 1.31.5 even though I went 1.5 seconds quicker than I did in Q1, I still moved down one place which meant I was starting the race way down the order.

On Saturday night Michael, Beth and I went out for dinner and the food was good! Thanks Michael.

Sunday afternoon we went out for our warm up and the team had changed a few things so I went out to see how it all felt and I was happy with the changes so we left the bike the way it was for the race.

I knew the race pace was going to be hot and my start was going to be important. When it was time for the race I was nervous like usual, but this time I had a new plan for my starts as my old plan didn't seem to work any more.

My new way of starting got me off the line really good, at the end of the first lap I was 18th and leading my group. After a few laps the safety car came out, and let the whole field close up. When the safety car went back in, I hung on to the lead group as long as I could and managed to get up to 16th with a few laps to go.

On the last lap my shoulder was so sore, I was finding it hard to push and two people passed me which was frustrating as there was nothing I could do about it. Thankfully they weren't in the Cup race and I managed to hang to my 8th place. The race, over all, was good. It was always going to be hard starting 31st, so to finish 18th and set a new personal best lap time of 1.30.0 was positive for next time we come to Croft.

Hopefully I will manage to sort out my qualifying for the next round at Cadwell, and with all the help I get from Pete and the team, I'm sure we will have a good result.

It was good to see my team mates again, Michael Hill & Jamie Ferguson. Hopefully Jamie will be riding again soon, as soon as his knee is better.

Good luck to James Ford with his new baby which should have been born by the time we get to Cadwell.

Thanks to everyone that helped this weekend, James Ford, the medical staff, Pete and Allan and those people who came to say hello, Ron Stevenson and John from Mago Print who made us T-shirts.

Thanks also to Bank's racing, Green Machines, Digby Brown, Pro Scot, Nevis marketing, Derek Huxley and the people that gave us some money through the paypal link on my website.

25 July 07

Mallory Park

We arrived at the track on Friday and it was raining and once we got the van parked up in the living area my Dad, Colin and I went to find Pete & Allan. Once we had found him, we got the bike ready to go out and I went back to the van and got into my leathers. When I was on my way back to the awning, I noticed a helicopter coming in to land on the track so I knew something bad must have happened. When I had got back to Pete's awning I told the guys about what I just saw and soon after, Jane told us that they were calling it a day. Later that afternoon, we found out that Ollie Bridewell had died, I am sorry to have heard the news. Ollie was a good guy and always said hello to me.

On Saturday the start was delayed due to the weather and I only got out at 4.30pm and instead of it being qualifying, they made it free practise and decided on the grid by championship position. The practise went okay but I didn't want to push hard as it wasn't qualifying and we had race day the next day.

So I just went out to learn the new chicane and make sure the bike was ok after my crash at Oulton.I ended up in 33rd after practise. I was expecting much better but the track was drying towards the end of the session and I didn't take advantage of that. Sunday morning and it was sunny and we had another free practise but for the first time the weekend, we got a dry track. Pete said to me that I need to get a tow from one of the faster boys but I couldn't stay with them as the bike was not firm on the brakes. I ended up in 28th with a lap time of 1.03.6.

Then I went to watch the Supersport 600 class while the guys sorted the bike, but before long my Dad came to call me as our race had been moved forward. When I got to the awning Pete said just go and enjoy the race and when I got onto the grid I was getting nervous as well as excited.

When the lights went out I dumped the clutch, then caught it and slipped it, and I was just about last into the first corner. After the first lap I was way back and had to get my head down to try and make some places back up. I was catching the group ahead of me and after about four laps of chasing the guys; I was able to challenge them.

I passed one of the riders then they passed me back so I thought that if I could pass this guy and the chap in front of him, then that would leave me clear to try and get further up the field. I managed to pass both the riders, on the brakes into the hairpin but by this time the leader of the group had made about a 1 second gap on us. So then I started chasing him down and I could see that I was much stronger than him going into the hairpin and the buss stop so I thought if, I could pass him on the last lap going into the hairpin I might be able to hold him off to the line. As we crossed the line, the last lap flag was out so I knew I had to make the pass this lap. On the run out of Edwina's, I messed up and got bad drive and that meant that I was quite far back to make the pass. I braked slightly later going into the hairpin, just to see how close I could get, and I was a lot closer than I was expecting so I let the front brake off and went up the inside of him. At first I wasn't sure I would get round, thankfully, I did. 21st was not where I wanted to be but I finished in the points and now we look forward to Croft.

Thank you to all my sponsors, Digby Brown, Pro-Scot, Nevis Marketing, Arkose Design and Green Machines I would also like to thank Pete, Allan and Colin for all their work on the weekend.

Oulton Park

Friday practise was wet and the first corner had a puddle on the inside of it which I didn't like, whenever I went through it, it kind of grabbed the wheel, but the rest of the track was fine. I was just taking my time and building up speed slowly and was enjoying it. By the end of FP1 I was 10th with my best lap time of 2m10secs. Then went out for FP2 and it was still wet, I had done my out lap and was on my first fast lap when I crashed at Lodge so that was the end of FP2.

Saturday Q1 was dry but there were damp patches so I was taking it easy at the wet parts of the track. I ended up 23rd with a 1m53secs. I was hoping for a better result in the Q2 and managed to improve to 1min51secs, which placed me 18th. The team was happy with that and I was happy as I had matched my personal best lap time.

Sunday morning warm up was wet again and that puddle was back at Old Hall! I did a 2min7secs lap time, which placed me 10th and I was hoping for a wet race. When it was time for our race it was still raining so I did my sighting lap then came to the grid. It was quite rushed and so it was basically straight to the warm up lap. I got a good start to the race but then I was too nice on the first lap and I gave away a lot of places. After the first lap I was 22nd and I was doing OK. Connor Behan and I were having a good race and on lap seven we caught James Ford. Connor got past and was starting to pull away. On lap eight I had passed James, and Jenny Tinmouth had gone off, so I was up to P13 and managed to catch Connor almost immediately and coming out of Britten's chicane I thought if I could just get the throttle on a bit earlier than normal, I could get better drive than the #72 bike and pass him on the brakes into the first corner. The next thing I knew, I was on my backside in the middle of the track! So much for that idea. The crash made for good TV though but my hip hurt. I was disappointed for myself and the team because they had worked so hard all weekend and until I crashed, I was in another good points scoring position.

Thanks to Digby Brown, Pro Scot, Green machines, Mark from Shark helmets, Jason from Arkose Design and thanks to the whole team who did a great job this weekend. Thanks people, for all your help.

I was looking forward to the Knockhill round because all I had to concentrate on was going fast, I already knew the circuit! For FP 1, I had to do 5 easy laps to run in a new piston and I was only doing 1.03's and saw P20 on my pit board. I thought, "Jeez, I'm P20 and I'm not even trying!" The whole year I've been trying so hard to get into the top 20 and sometimes never made it, then we come to a track I know and I'm running parts in and I'm in the top twenty! I knew then that I was going to have a good weekend. Pete had said that after 5 laps I could wind it up and I ended the session with a 57 second lap time and in P12. We were still using the last meetings race tyres so Colin and I went to Dunlop and got the tyres turned, ready for FP2. I managed to get into the 56's quite quickly and for quite a while I was running in the top ten but every time I tried to push for a better time, I was struggling for grip. I ended FP2 in 12th again which was ok because on Saturday for Q1 I was getting new tyres and I knew I could go faster.

Saturday morning was dry and the weather forecast was for rain later in the afternoon so this first qualifying session was going to be important for the grid on Sunday. We planned to come in after 15 laps for fuel but the session was red flagged after 13 laps. The team put the fuel in and when the session was re-started I did a few laps to get back up to speed when Kev Coghlan passed me. I got my head down and followed Kev for as long as I could and managed to get down to 55 second lap times. I ended the session with a new personal best time of 55.6 and in P12. The weather forecast was right and Q2 was really wet. I went out for 10 laps and was running in the top 5, then came in to check with Pete about the engine temperature. I went back out and after a few laps I was going into the hairpin and braked where I normally do, at first I had brakes, then I got a vibration through the bars, then the brake lever came into the bar and I knew I wasn't going to get around the hairpin. I just lay the bike on its side and slid off into the air fence. I was okay and the bike wasn't too damaged. The fork that holds the brake calliper was broken so Pete and my Dad went to Bob Grant and he did the repair for us straight away. Cheers Bob! So that was it, 12th on the grid for the race, my best starting place so far this season!

Sunday morning warm up went okay, the brakes felt as good as before and I ended the session in 11th. But then it rained really hard and some of the races were cancelled. We thought our race was also going to be cancelled but the weather improved and we were told our race would start at 17H40. No-one knew what tyres to put on but the team decided to go with slicks at the last moment and we headed for holding area. We were told that it was a "dry" race witch was good because if it did rain we could get the chance to change tyres. I was unsure about the tyre choice until I had done my sighting lap, then I knew it was dry just about everywhere, just a few wet patches to watch out for. I got an average start but lost a lot of places being too careful in the first corner. I made up places in the early laps and in the last half of the race I had a great race with Ash Beech. We swapped places loads of times and I enjoyed every lap. I managed to hold him off to finish 11th, just! After the race Ash came to shake my hand which I thought was cool, because he's a real good rider and race winner.

Get well soon to my team mate, Jamie Ferguson, #57, who injured his knee at the weekend. Hope to see you racing again at Oulton. Thanks to my sponsors, family and friends who came to see me race and got completely soaked in the rain. Thanks also to Pete, the bike was fantastic all weekend, like always and we got a great result!

Friday practise was wet and I was very nervous as the last time out in the wet I had a big crash. I spoke to my dad and he just said to go out and learn but just to take my time and get a feel for the bike in the wet. So I went out and took my time and progressively got faster. I was 25th at the end of 1st practice with a lap time of 2:19:737. The leader was doing a 2:05:773 so I was quite a bit off the pace, but I knew I could go faster, I liked the track and was feeling good in the wet conditions. In free practise 2 the track was still wet and I had a few problems with my bikes engine temperature which meant I was in and out the pits quite a few times and didn't get a lot of time on track. As the weather conditions changed, my bike started detonating too much so I came in again and Pete changed the jetting. I went back out and the bike felt really strong. With such little time in 2nd practise I ended up 31st with a lap time of 2:08:814.

Saturday morning was qualifying and the track was slightly drier than Friday free practise 2 so the lap times had improved. I finished 25th with a time of 2:06:669. It was quite weird because I felt really confident now and knew I could go faster but the sessions ended before I could put a decent lap together.

It was really wet for qualifying 2 and rained throughout the session. My team had got a set of new wets and the new Dunlop wets had a different design on the front tyre. The guys from Dunlop said the tyre had been developed by Pogialli in GP's, so it had to be good. I had been told by Pete to do a few laps just to get a feel for the tyres then come in if I wanted. I came into the pits after about 2 laps because the bike was running too cold, so Pete put more tape on the radiator and I went back out. Kev Coghlan came past me so I followed him and felt quite comfortable running at the pace we were at. I had just set my fastest lap and on the next lap Kev crashed on the last corner and so did a few other guys so my dad signalled me to pit just to be safe. I ended up 13th but in combined times I was 25th on the grid for Sunday's race.

On Sunday I went out for the warm up practise and it was dry, which made a pleasant change because at least my feet would stay dry! Pete said to try and learn as much as I could because it would be the only dry session we would get before the race. I was enjoying riding and liking the Mondello track so much that pushing hard from the off was fine by me. I managed to get down to a 1:53.771 which placed me 7th at the end of warm up.

When I got changed for the race I was walking back to Pete's awning and passed James Ford who wished me luck and said "Remember, no gaps". I told Pete what James said and he laughed and explained what James had meant. I did the sighting lap and formed up on the grid and Pete said to me that this is a track I'm going to do well on, then he started the bike up and said good luck and he had to go.

I practised my start as we set off for the warm up lap and formed up on the grid for the start of the race. The red lights came on for about 5 seconds, which feels like ages when you're sitting there, but when the lights went off I got a good start and was up to 17th from 25th after the first lap. After about the 5th lap I was up to 13th when the safety car came out. After the re-start I had a problem with my bike and couldn't change into 1st gear and had to stay in 2nd gear and slip the clutch like crazy and because of that I slipped back one place and finished 14th. That meant I finished 4th in the Dorna Academy Cup and just missed out on a podium place. It was my best result of the season so I'm well pleased with that!

I would like to thank Pete Banks for giving me a really good bike for the weekend and also to James "No Gaps" Ford and Brian Clark for their advice throughout the weekend.

18 May 07

My weekend started off rubbish as I crashed going into the "bomb hole" in free practise one. The bike wasn't damaged that bad and just needed and new master cylinder kit and a new speed sensor. I really struggled for the rest of the weekend's sessions and half way through second qualifying I was 46th and out of Sunday's race!

After my refuel in second qualifying I knew I had to get my head down or we were going home early. During my pit stop I spoke to James Ford and he said to follow him for a lap or two. This worked because after a couple of laps my pit board said I was in 34th (cheers Fordy) on my last lap I was bumped down to 39th but at least I was in tomorrow's race.

After Sunday morning's warm up I came in and told Pete that the bike was slower than normal coming out of the corners onto the straight. Pete stripped the bike and found some problems with the engine. On the warm up lap I pushed quite hard and the bike felt really strong so I was confident that I could make up places and have a good race.

I timed the lights really good and was up to 29th after the 1st lap and after that I kept on making up places until I caught a group of riders battling for 20th position. For the rest of the race I was either in 20th or 24th we changed places that many times! I had one scary moment going into Corrums, when I was on the inside of the Replicast rider and we both ran really deep and at one point we touched. The other rider ran off the track and I managed to get round and kept my position. On the last lap I was still leading the group going into Russells chicane when I seen waved yellows and thought, "Yes" because I knew they couldn't pass me now, just before I got to the chequered flag the race was red flagged and I had finished 20th which was okay coming from the 10th row.

I then found out the accident at Russells chicane involved my team mate, Michael Hill, who has damaged his back and is going to be out for several months which is real bad luck. I hope you get better soon and look forward to racing you again.

12 May 07

After my two free practise sessions I knew I liked the track. I was happy with my times and the bike, and I knew I could go quicker.

Qualifying one was also on Saturday and I was feeling really confident as my lap times were improving all the time.

I started off with a lap of 2.04.3 and finished free practise with 1.53sec, which I thought was good for my first time there.

Then later on I went out for qualifying one and again I was getting faster. I was in 13th for quite a while but then going into lodge corner I tucked the front end and down I went. I new it was too early on in the session to expect to stay 13th. I thought that I would have been out of the top 20 but I still managed to finish 20th with a time of 1.51.6. On Saturday evening I cycled the track with Derek Huxley who was really helpful and showed me a few lines at certain corners where I was losing time.

Sunday morning I went out for second qualifying and I tried what Derek told me. I wasn't pushing hard at the start as I didn't want to bin it again. On my pit board I seen it was coming towards the end of qualifying and I was in 24th. I started to push a wee bit harder and I went 0.1 faster than what I did in qualifying one and I went back up to 20th but I'd left it too late to improve further. When I got some time sheets I saw how close it was. I was only 0.08 faster than the boy in 25th.

We had to get up earlier than usual for Monday warm up. The weather was really tricky for what tyres to use as it was raining lightly and it made the track damp. The team decided I should go out on slicks, (some of the other guys went out on wets), and just take it easy. When I was out on track I was taking my time to get a feel for the grip and guys were coming past real fast. Then James Ford came past me and signalled for me to follow him, I tried to, but it was hard as he was going so much faster than me, although I went 8 seconds faster than what I was doing on my own so the grip was there.

When it was time for the race the track was dry so everyone was on slicks. I was getting nervous but once I done my sighting lap I was feeling a lot better. When the light went on I got all nervous again because I really wanted a good start. As it happened, I made an average start but took too long to get going and got caught in a group of riders I really should have beaten, but the race itself was great, I was really enjoying myself and finished, 20th.

I think the track is a really good and I can't wait to go back there and race again, I know where I was slow and once I get that sorted I hope to be further up the order.

Pete and Allan were great all weekend, even though I trashed the bike, Pete only said it was a pity because I missed out on a lot of track time and then he spent the rest of the day fixing it ready for the next day.

Thanks also to Derek for taking the time to show me round the track.

We arrived at Silverstone on Friday morning and it was misty and freezing! After signing on I got changed, ready for practise. We then discovered that dad had forgotten my pit board but Brian Clarke let us use his. 1st practise which went okay as I was only learning the track and ended up 19th. I was happy with that but managed to go quicker again in 2nd practise and moved up to 18th. Which I thought was really good as I have never been in the top twenty on the practise day.

On Saturday in 1st qualifying I went out feeling really strong but as I pushed hard I was getting juddering when I was braking heavy for corners. I went almost half a second quicker than what I did in 2nd practise on Friday. At the end of the session, I was in 22nd which I thought was really good. After the session Brian Clark and his suspension technician, (Steve), came over and had a chat with me and Pete before checking my bike's suspension.

For 2nd qualifying I had decided to go up to the holding area a little bit earlier than what I usually do, so that I could get out first and try to follow some of the front runners to see where I could improve which kind of worked because I did improve my lap time again and ended up 24th fastest. That put me 27th in combined qualifying which was a bit disappointing after such a good qualifying at Thruxton, but I was on the grid for Sunday's race which is what was important.

On Sunday morning warm up I was just to go out and enjoy it. I was just getting into a rhythm when the red flag came out. On the re-start I was behind Robbie Stewart and I was able to stay with him and see what lines he uses as Robbie is one of the front runners and very fast.

Eventually it was time for the race, I was nervous, like at the start of all my races, When we were under starters orders and waiting for the off, the riders beside me jumped the start which put me off and I ended up messing my start up. I was almost last into the first corner but I didn't give up I kept my head down and managed to start gaining places and when I caught a group of riders I managed to get through them but then, like normal 125 racing they kept passing me back, which ended up with me getting stuck in a scrap with 5 riders and I crossed the finish line in 22nd. I'm gutted with my start, but overall I was happy with the way I came back through the field.

I would just like to thank Pete, Alan, Colin, Brian Clark Racing and my dad for all their help and support. Thanks also to all my sponsors for their help in backing and believing in me.

Thruxton was good, after Brands, Pete had said that it wasn't hard to learn, you just had to learn it at 140mph!!! Friday practise was really good, in the first session I got down to a lap time of 1.29.4 and when I came into pits I was thinking that I done well and then I was told what place I was in, (30th), and thought "bloody hell they're fast round here!"

In the garage we looked at the data and that showed where I could make lots of time quite easily. I then went into the van and my dad said that I'd gone well but that the time I did would probably put me last on the grid!! He was right, after qualifying two; the last placed rider had done a 1.28.6.

For free practice 2, I went out and tried the things that I was told and managed 21st with a 1.27.1 lap. More than two seconds faster, so the data stuff seems to work!

Saturday morning in qualifying one, I went faster again and only moved up two places which put me 19th fastest with a time of 1.25.1 Pete was pleased with that and so was I because on Friday night I didn't think I was going to be able to go much faster, but after Brands, I knew everyone else was going to go faster in qualifying 2 and I badly wanted to get into the top twenty as that then puts you on page one of the timing screens.

In the final qualifying I managed to do a time of 1.24.4 and was thinking 'I must be on the front page of the monitors' and then found out I was 16th and I was well happy with that because I had got the top 20 qualifying slot I was aiming for.

After the session I was telling Pete that there was something wrong with the bike because it was moving around quite a lot. Brian Clark came across and listened to what I was saying and told me there was nothing to worry about and that it was normal!! I was not to worry as "the tyres will give plenty of warning before they dump you on your ear." This is all new to me as I've never ridden anything as fast as this and I'm still new to slicks as well, but I'm learning and I'd like to say thanks to Brian for taking the time to come and chat with me.

Sunday morning warm up I was running in a new piston so couldn't go to fast and I was also on Saturday's tyres because we were saving my new tyres for the race.

In the race I got an ok start and was up to 12th and I was doing my best to keep with my team-mate, Michael Hill, when the safety car came out, which was kind of weird as I've never experienced a safety car thing before, although my friend, Mick Eagle, (a marshal), had been round on Saturday and told me what to expect if we did get a safety car. I was very careful not to overtake and then two riders come past me and I'm thinking, "Hey! You not allowed to do that." So that was me, down to 14th! Then they let the group in front pull away before the car went in and I was really annoyed because we lost touch with that group and never caught them again. I managed to hold off Stewart Findlay for the rest of the race even though he passed me twice, he ran wide both times and I was able to get right back past him and finished the race in 15th place and got my first main championship point. I was happy with that and a bit miffed as well because I could've finished higher up.

Overall I'm happy as it was my best result yet and I'm learning more about my bike all the time. The data is showing that I'm doing lots of things wrong, so I'm working hard to get them right, and Pete and Allan are showing me how to improve. My Thruxton result has given me a big confidence boost ahead of Silverstone and I'm looking forward to racing there.

I would really like to thank Green Machines, Pro-Scott, Digby Brown, Shark (helmets), Oxtar, Richa and NGK for all the support and help, also Pete, Alan, Michael, Colin and my Dad. Also, get well soon to my friend, Deane Brown, who crashed on Sunday and broke his leg and wrist. Get well soon mate, we are all thinking of you.

Brands Hatch round 1 - 9 April 07 - image by Dean Owen

I was so looking forward to my first BSB meeting and it was everything I expected and more! Signing on was ace, ahead of me was Greg Lavilla and behind me was Shane Byrne and Michael Rutter and here I was, in the same queue!!!

Pete put no pressure on me, he just told me to go out, learn the track and enjoy myself so I did and the whole weekend was terrific. First practise was good, I learned most of the track on my own, and parts of the track that I wasn't sure about I followed some of the faster riders, and soon got my head around the basics. In second practise I pushed a little harder and got my times down quite a bit. At one point I pushed a little too hard and managed to crash at Westfield, oops! Luckily there was not much damage and the team had the bike ready to go for first qualifying.

I got really nervous as qualifying got closer because I knew that there were too many riders for the available grid slots and not all of us were going to qualify. I just didn't want to be one of those who didn't qualify! Pete had made some changes to the gearing and the bike felt great. While I was on track, I couldn't see my pit board because there was some one else with their pit board in front of mine but there is a lap timer on my bike so I was just watching that and could see I had improved my lap time. I got down to a 1.40.2 which was good enough for 22nd on the grid and well inside the qualifying time. Result!

In the final qualifying I improved my time again by almost a full second, (1.39.4), only to find out that I had been bumped down the order to 26th, but I had done it, the aim was to qualify and get onto the grid for the Monday race and I managed to qualify midfield.

In the morning warm up I did a 1.40.5 and was 18th fastest, then the big one that the whole team was waiting for, The Race. I got really nervous thinking about what my start would be like and what if this went wrong and what if that went wrong and looked at my hands and they were shaking. Pete was on the grid with me and told me just to have a good race and learn from the experience. Then everybody cleared the grid and we off on the sighting lap. We all lined up on the grid again and came under the starters orders, the boy next to me jumped the start and then stopped again, but I was so focussed on those lights, that when they went out I slipped the clutch and timed everything perfectly. I was through the row in front of me before I knew it and made a load of places and was just thinking that this was going to be easy when they all came past me again into Paddock Hill.

I was in a group of six riders all race and at one point I managed to get in front of the group and then I got shuffled back again. Both my team mates were in the same group as me so I knew I couldn't be doing too badly. One of my team mates, Jamie Ferguson, crashed right near the end, coming out of Druids and Michael, (Hill), managed to stay ahead of me to the end. The race was over before I knew it, and I couldn't believe the whole 15 laps were at an end. I finished 24th as was well chuffed with that, I also managed to improve my lap times again and came away with a 1.38.701.

The whole weekend was an awesome experience and I now know what to expect for Thruxton and can't wait! Thanks to the whole team, Pete Banks, Allan Green, Collin and my Dad for giving such a fantastic opportunity!

Thanks also to Warren & Sara, Jason & Emma, Mick Eagle and his daughter & her partner for coming to wish me luck and also to all my friends who I saw at the track and who sent SMS messages over the course of the weekend.

Hi all

I was out on the Banks Racing bike at Croft on the 16th & 17th of March, we would have been out on the 17th as well but the meeting was called off because of the bad weather.

I had never raced at Croft before but I enjoyed the circuit and look forward to when we race there later on in the year. It was good getting to know my team-mates for this year, Jamie Ferguson was well quick, as was Michael Hill but then they both know Croft pretty well, so I'll be hoping to show them the way around when we get to Knockhill!

Pete was trying different settings and parts in preparation for the coming season, which is quite weird because when I raced the Aprilia I just went out and rode it, the only thing my dad changed was the front and rear sprockets!

So now to come in, check the data, make changes and then go out and see what difference the changes make is kinda cool. Some parts of my riding style need to change to improve my lap times but with Pete helping me and showing me where I need to improve, I'm confident we're going to have a good season.

17 March 07

Hi all

I was at East Fortune on Sunday, (11/03/07), it was good as the weather stayed dry and because I was on Pete Banks' bike which is an awesome bit of kit!!

At the end of my second session Pete showed me the information captured by the data logger and it was really interesting because it tells me and Pete what I'm doing with the throttle and where I'm doing it as well as loads of other data. I like he way Pete works with you to get better at certain things on the bike and with parts of the track.

Pete was happy with how everything went and I love the bike, so we are looking forward to Croft this weekend where the team will get three more days testing time before we head to Brands Hatch!

Hello everyone

Albacete, Spain was really good. Even though I had two crashes, I still managed to put in a lot of laps and learned a lot about the Honda GP 125. Bob Grant helped me on track and with a lot of advice. Bob went out with me and helped me with a few corners I was struggling with and in the next session I could feel the improvement straight away. Albacete is a fast flowing circuit and I really enjoyed my time on track. Overall, I was pleased with how it went and to have got within 8 seconds of Alvaro Bautiste's CEV lap record on a standard GP 125 was good.

Forbes Cowan, (Britain's strongest man, Scotland's strongest man & 5th in the Worlds strongest man), was with us on the trip and ordered a huge steak in the evening when we went out to eat. I'm sure the waiter deliberately found the biggest steak in the house for Forbes, thinking he would never be able to eat it all, but he did!! Thanks to Vicky & Bob & Sammi for organising everything so well, and Roxy, Forbes & Jully-Anne, Gavin & Michelle, Gordan, Dod, Ally, and Pete, for a very good time.

20 Feb 07

The Melville Clubs awards evening on Saturday night, (17/02/07), was good, as I was able to meet up with some of my friends I hadn't seen since the end of the 2006 season. I had a good chat with Torquil Paterson and Keith Amor. I leave for Spain on Wednesday morning and return on Sunday night. It will be good to get back out on my bike, can't wait! We also heard back from the MCRCB to say that my registration is all finalised and my race number for this year is #50!! Now, after such a long winter break, everything is starting to happen. I'll have more news about the Spain practise next week.

~Timmy#50~

10 Feb 07

The good news this week is that we are going to Spain on the 21st of this month and I am on the bike on the 23rd, 24th and the 25th for some much needed practice. We are taking my own bike which is pretty much standard, but it's a good opportunity to get used to the GP bike as I have only ridden one twice before. I am enjoying the gym work and am working hard at improving my strength and overall fitness.

Thanks also to all those who have donated to my racing via the paypal link, your names have been added under donations.

Counting down the weeks to the start of the season. I've been busy at gym which helps the time pass.We have a photographer who has agreed to sponsor us with the team photo's this year and I will be doing Yoga training as well. This will help me focus before a race. I am also being told what to eat and drink so I should be fit and healthy for this season. I am hoping to be able to go to Spain for testing but that depends on if we have the money in our budget, if we can't go, then we will do as many club races as we can to practise before the season starts. Thanks to everyone that has donated to my racing this year, by using the paypal on my site.

Welcome to my new site.

I hope everybody had a great festive season and all the best for 2007. Christmas was good and the New Year looks like it's going to be very exciting. I can't wait to start racing for Pete Banks at BSB. Winter is really boring and I can't wait till I'm back out on my bike again. At the moment I am keeping busy training for the season ahead.

I am looking to be in the top five in the cup class from the start and score points in the main class. I'm also looking forward to seeing some of my mates again who are also moving to BSB from the Aprilias.

I think this new web site is quality, especially the gallery section, thanks Jason and Emma.
